Giving in all kinds of ways.

This is the time of year when we start to think about the Holiday Season.

This year, we all know, will look different than it ever has. For some it will mean not getting to see family or friends. For others travel may be out of the question.

But it continues to be a time of gift giving for many. I have a few small gems that may be just the right art for someone special…maybe you!!

But it is also a time to pause and reflect how fortunate we are. Perhaps it’s a time to consider giving to help others. As I ask, below.

Keep Safe, Keep well.

GIVING TUESDAY

PLEASE Don’t forget to save the date!  is Dec.1st, 2020.

GivingTuesday is a global day of giving. After the sales of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, GivingTuesday is a time to celebrate and encourage activities that support charities and non profits. Whether it’s making a donation, volunteering time, helping a neighbour or spreading the word, GivingTuesday is a movement for everyone who wants to give something back.

I ask that you consider donating to a charity near and dear to my heart. One that plays a critical role in communities coast to coast in Canada –

Therapeutic Paws of Canada.

You have read some of Mac and my stories over the years and while I think Mac was magic, all of the Therapy Pets and their humans do wonderful work every day of the week.

For instance, there is the  increased confidence that a child gains by reading stories aloud to the Therapy dog. Some develop an absolute LOVE for reading.

What price tag do you put on that gift?

To see the smiles and moments of joy on the faces of seniors. Listening to them reminisce about the dogs they grew up with. Watching them hug and talk to the Therapy animals.

Moments of love and happiness- what’s that worth?

They say that you cannot buy happiness, but I am here to disagree.

I have the honour of watching it happen through TPOC and the volunteers time after time.

Please consider making a donation.

Thank you.

Some of you have requested smaller pieces for gifts.

Here are a few for you to consider – 12″ X 9″ and 6″ X 6″.

It was so wonderful to see Ms. C  last week. She came in to show me pictures of where she had placed two of my small works in her home.
They are on a wonderful table surrounded by wonky fun articles!

She then decided that the “Tea Pot”  painting would be perfect in her kitchen!

Wouldn’t you agree??!

Always love to see pictures of where you have placed my art in your home.

Another piece settled into a wonderful frame.
On its way home.

Thank you for sharing!
